Hi guys.

I am almost finished with my TIG welding class. I have been working on aluminum the last couple of months and want to go ahead and buy my aluminum sheet to make my custom removable roof or hardtop for my speedster.

I have been practicing on .063 sheet and it is going great.

This summer I need to build my buck before I start the panel forming.

My question is: What gauge aluminum would be best to use for this hardtop?

I know some were made years ago for 50's speedsters but not sure how thick they were.
