Why do people have their panties in a wad over the lack of new versions of Boxer models? The R1100S lasted 7 or 8 years, and the R12S isn't nearly that old yet. The RT has been constantly updated, but hasn't had a MAJOR overhaul since the move to the Hexhead engine. Similarly with the GS.
The LT is the model that is the oldest in the entire BMW lineup. I would personally be more upset if the LT went another 2 or 3 years without an update, as there is a much bigger market to be lost in that part of the lineup if it continues to sit by the wayside.
