Depreciation
All you have to do is look at the car industry to know that any vehicle you buy is going to depreciate until it becomes a 'classic', when the price starts to appreciate.
If you think bikes are bad, think about pc's. You buy one new for a few thousand dollars and 2 years later they're worth nothing....
A bike is a toy or a means of transport. A house is an investment.
