I heartily aprove, R22. The 911 is why you got into Porsches in the first place, I'm glad you're staying with the breed.
I also think the 90-92 C2 should make a great car and they seem to be good values right now. I have thought about the same thing, for some of the same reasons, in the back of my mind.
Let us know how you make out. I might be able to follow your lead someday.
