I think I blew it.
I have a 75 911S. The door bottoms kept rusting out and I got tired of fixing them.
I put on some newer galvanized doors to solve the problem. I think they are late 70s or early 80s.
Anyways when my mechanic asked if I wanted to keep my original silver mirror or go with the flag mirrors that came with the doors, I told him 'let's keep the flags'.
I always wanted a passenger side mirror, and I didn't know I could of just bought one in my original style for the passenger side. Oops.
I had the whole car painted so I think what's done is done.
My question is.
Does anybody know if I can remove my flags and put on the silver mirrors in their place without having to do any body work?
I don't think the base of the silver mirror will cover all the holes from the flag.
Am I wrong?
