Engine Rebuild
I am a newbie who just got a '66 912 that swallowed a valve on PCH last weekend. So sad. I haven't gotten it apart yet, but it looks like at the very least I'm in for a top-end rebuild. If I'm going through the trouble though, I thought I might just do the whole thing - you know - start with a clean slate.
I'm wondering if any of you out there can recommend a guy to do the rebuild. I live in LA. I want to do things right, but I am poor since I just got the car. Performance is not my priority, reliability is.
I'm open to pretty much anything - big bore (for cheeper parts,) replacement engine (if any of you have one laying around,) whatever.
