Hey gang. Here's the latest. (and thank you, Kevin. The wiring diagrams were very helpful.) And to correct: bike is a 2002 with ABS III brakes. (BMW on the front calipers - not Brembo) I was mistaken saying it was ABS II.
I've confirmed the rear ABS sensor also sends a signal to the speedo/odo and does so through the ABS/servo unit. I was not able to successfully by-pass the unit when it was removed by wiring the sensor directly to the speedo. Consequently, the ABS unit is re-installed, the 42 pin connector in place, my brake micro-switches removed and the OEM switches (with the odd "open circuit when depressed - closed circuit when actuated) in place. The bike works fine and I know how fast and far I'm going,

but....
Each brake micro-switch not only operates the brake light but sends power to the servo unit. Consequently, when the lever or pedal are used, the servo motor is actuated. However, it has nothing to pump as the lines are removed and the fluid drained. Now my task is to locate the specific wire(s) that branches from each switch and powers the servo. This is not as easy as it seems. Ideally, a diagram of the 42 pin connector showing which wire supplies power will clarify. So far, nothing shows such a diagram exists.
I've sent a couple PM's requesting help but,
has anyone seen such a schematic? If so, I would sure like to see it!
thank you, Pete
