Nice looking linkage and engine compartment! I have the Weltmeister linkage and it does look similar to the one in the photos, except the parts are gold cad plated. The cable bracket is very similar and bolts to the fan housing with a single bolt. It is stable, and doesn't move laterally as Dave questioned. The base of the bracket is square and it sits on the fan housing. It is wide enough that it will not rotate about the bolt. The linkage works well and I've never had a problem with it.
The price? I bought it several years ago during one of Automotion's 20% off sales. I think I paid $75-80 at the time.
