Hi All,
You are all correct. It's two different cars: a malaga red 75 2.0 (mine) and a white '70 2.4 (Jason Celestine's). The linkage shown is produced by Triad West Performance
http://triadwestperformance.com. I recently bought Triad from my good friend Dave Said. The linkage is basically the Weltmiester linkage - Triad got permission from Weltmiester to build the linkage when they stopped due to Califoria smog restrictions. Our linkage is powder coated, and has radiused edges, ect. There is no problem with lateral movement because the accelerator cable bar is flat on the bottom and fits snug with the fan housing.
The round thing on the case of Jason's car is indeed an oil pressure sender.
Besides the linkage, we also offer the well-known Triad exhaust headers and finals, and spherical strut mount bearings, along with new and used parts.
This is the first time I've been out here, and I hope you all don't mind the plug for Triad, but since you all wondered about the linkage I figured I'd post.
Later
Dave
