Randal, congrats on solving your problem. The relay you swapped out is in fact the cooling fan relay, which is a multi-use relay, Porsche number 141 951 253B (worth about 5.50 at Pelican parts). The A/C relay is the one in the number one position, on the extreme right, Porsche number 944 615 113 01. It is much taller than the cooling fan relay. Vicious posted a website that has a list of relays and fuses. Unfortunately the A/C relay and the cooling fan relay are incorrectly labelled. The A/C relay is in the first position, the cooling fan relay is in the third. There was an error in the early Porsche manuals (p.75) that has been perpetuated to this day by unsuspecting Porsche fans that thought manuals could bear no mistakes.
