too much fun

Welll....I would advise flat bedding the car as a first choice. as a second choice I would drag it from behind, lifting the rear. (hope the front skirt doesn't get dinged) If you were forced to tow it from the front and needed to disconnect the drivetrain, I would suggest that you disconnect the CV's at the rear. (WYAIT repack and inspect the CV's) I would totally remove both and leave the tranny in place. The driveshaft (for lack of a better term) can only be taken out After dropping the transmission and then turning the shaft housing 180 deg. (kinda involved) See Clarks instructions for a clutch job.

These cars can be tricky to transport, not a hec of a lot of clearance. Look around for a pro and shop for prices for a "non emergency" tow to be done at the drivers leisure. you might get a good deal. Alternatively a AAA membership (or some other reputable auto club) will more than pay for itself with a project Porsche (ask me how I know!) so, I strongly recommend some sort of road service coverage anyway.

Please, PLEASE! DO NOT try the tow rope method. I can tell you several horror stories. It has a tendency to go horribly wrong very quickly. Tow bar is out as well as there isn't anything good to bolt on to.
