Ride Height Questions

78 911 SC - Everything Stock - This is a new car to me so I am learning every day.

I've been reading all the popular upgrades and needed to determine if my car needed to be lowered. Just from eyeballing the car looks pretty low and I seem to have noticed the "bump steer" syndrome described when the car is lowered. So now I am assuming the car is already lowered but I wanted to confirm. Here is what I found;

- car is on level ground
- I have not added any weight to the driver side to represent my weight
- Drivers side measurement from ground to center of front rear torsion bar - 4 7/8 inches
- Passenger side measurement from ground to center of front rear torsion bar - 6.25 inches
- the threads on the torsion bar adjustment screw are about the same amount on each side from the top
- measured the top of the fender lip to the ground on each side and found about the same amount of variance (24.5 on driver, 25.5 on passenger side)
- measured ground to center caps of each side at about 11.5 inches

Based on the recommended lowered height w/ the variance between center wheel to center torsion bar at about 4.25 inches my car seems very low already. Also, the variance between sides while the adjustment screws appear to be at the same height seems odd.

What is all of this info telling me great guru's of 911?

Thanks for your help,

John
