Let me clarify...

I assumed that the strip along the front needed to be removed.

I was more concerned about the vertical strips on the side of the "fenders" (I said bumpers before). Not sure if these are part of the permanent sheet metal of the fenders and need to be grinded off, or if they were welded on, and then filled into smooth it in with the fender.

And I know about the shick absorbers and the mounting brackets that need to be removed as well.
