RC engineering offers this service for something like $25.00 and injector and they will calibrate one to the other as closely as they can.

Physical cleaning of the injectors can resolve blockage/flow/imbalance issues and as you say, there is no substitute should that type of service be required. Techron added to a regular part of the maintenance cycle can extend the time frame before a physical cleaning is necessary and possibly forgoe the need for it. But it's not a "bandaid" or a less than ideal procedure-it's a viable addition to regular maintenance. I apply it with a full tank of fuel at every oil change interval.
