You have to adjust your expectations when it comes to imports to Australia. 18months ago, there was a pristine (and I do mean PRISTINE) '88 3.2 Coupe with about 65K's on the clock. Guards red. Personal import from the UK. It sat in a well known and respected Porsche dealership for an unusually long period and then it sold.
For AU$43,000.
Had it not been for the import factor it would easily have fetched about $70+ at the time.
There is a place in Melbourne called "The 911 Factory" who specialise in importing (mainly from the US) but they may be able to give you more feeling for the import market.
