Some already are aware but I have many I consider friends on this board, so with great regret I would like everyone to know Kevin, our eldest was fatally injured in a Motorcycle accident Saturday afternoon on the Interstate. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the Trooper and the information he got from witnesses, he was changing lanes when he lost control. It had just started to rain hard when the accident occurred. According to the trooper, speed was not a factor, and there was no involvement with another vehicle.


I can only speculate that he might have hit a pool of water that accumulated in the tire track that the heavy truck traffic produced and hydroplaned, that there may have been oil or diesel on the highway, that the first rain in weeks turned into a slippery patch, and after visiting the crash site, the possibility that the 1' wide tar strip that they ran down the center line could be a cause as it occurred on a slight curve.
