1. Do a search of your symptoms for a lot of info on this. It is very common w/ these cars.

Probably the single most common cause is an out of spec warmup regulator (WUR) which is causing a too lean mixture during cold starts and warmup.

Another common cause is a vacuum leak. Or your mixture could simply be set too lean.

You should also check out the AAR (auxiliary air regulator) which helps keep revs up during warmup.

Finally, check out Jim Williams. He has a great site on the CIS.
