The newer Porsches use something that looks like a closed cell memory type foam about 1/2 to 3/4" thick that form fits the chassis and works pretty well - much lighter than the old asphalt barrier and carpet pad type material used in the earlier cars. The stuff is white,, I'm not sure if it's a vinyl or urethane material. Check with the materials from Aircraft Spruce.
I think the only new 911s that push close to 4000# are the TTs with AWD, pushing 37-3800. However, no way though would a late RS or GT3 come in that high - wet with a half tank of gas normally comes in between 3180 to 3250, depending on options such as PCCB.
