You're talking about the overboost sensor switch, with the single wire going to it (I presume)? Brand new, I think those are supposed to trip (interrupt ground) at something like 1.2 to 1.4 bar (foggy memory on that, sorry). I run 1.0 bar on my car and have yet to have an OB shutdown (yes my switch is working). If your car is prone to boost spikes, though, it might become a headache (as in face-in-dash syndrome). If yours is tripping, maybe it's just time for a new one?
