I have a Porsche battery maintainer (photo below). I hooked it up to the battery terminals & plugged it into a wall socket. Should the light on the unit be on, or does it only come on when it determines the battery is low & it is actually charging? I don't see a light & I am afraid it might not be working properly (which would explain the dead battery I had last spring!).
