same thing happened to me. i replaced my rubber based clutch on a 88 944 na. when i finished, i couldnt start the car. i thoutgh the batterey lost its charge. after pop starting the car i realized it was a ground wire. at first i though it was the one on the starter but it turned out to be the one on top of the cluch housing. (real pain in the ass to get to) as soon as i titghen that up, car started right up
