Yep, they do a great job for that. I can watch my house & even check out how much snow is outside. Pretty cool to see the weather when you're 1200 miles away
I even have a robot in one of the houses that I can control via the internet. I can steer it around, turn on its headlight, etc. It even has a microphone to listen. Stuff is getting really advanced these days.
