I used to drive an 87 300ZX (non-turbo) - it was my parents. In fact, I hosed the clutch on it when I was about 18, not from abusing it, but just because I was fairly new at driving standard.
I couldn't stand the car - it was ridiculously heavy. I knew nothing about cars back then, and how they should feel, and even then I could tell is was way too heavy for the power it put out. Seats were uncomfortable - anyone who sat in the back on a long trip inevitably got carsick. It had a ridiculous digital dashboard that looked more like something from the original Star Trek series than anything that could give you useful information. Ugh. I never drove the next generation, but I did spend a fair amount of time with a 350Z, and it's a completely different car - I loved it.
