Sportomatic Control Valve - electrical question
Hi everyone,
I have been going through several checks to fix my 72 911T sporto. I am running down to only a few last checks.
While doing these checks I came across a picture of a sportomatic control valve that has the Bosch solenoid (same unit in my car). At the electrical connections for the solenoid attached to the control valve there are two male pins (one for ground and the other for positive). These male connections are where one connects the micro-switch to the solenoid.
My question is about the small round black colored "fuse" or resistor like connection/wire between both male pin connections on the solenoid. The control valve on my car does not have this small black colored connection (wire) and seems to have broken off. Is that black colored device necessary to operate the control valve solenoid? If so, does any one know the specifications or a way to replace it. I can easily solder one, but dont want to put the incorrect type. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Doug.
