I am not sure if a larger stud will fit the starter hole. I am searching to see if I can get a stud that has different diameters on each end. If this is the case, I can re-tap the hole in the tranny to a larger size. I suppose installing a Helicoil does make the most sense. I've never installed one of these. Where is the best place to buy them?
