I bought my rust free non running but complete 75 targa for 2500.00........I did a complete resto/mild custom on mine, and i am well over 30g deep, and thats with my brother doing all the paint and body work. (a real paint job takes at least 3g in materiel I found out)Rebuilding my 3.0 engine alone cost me close to 8g, and that was doing it all myself except for mach. work. I know the value is not near that to anybody but me, but thats what counts. I have never restored any of my cars worrying about what its worth, you cant restore a car that way. In my case, a 911 is just something I always wanted since I was a kid, and just built "my" impression of the ultimate sports car. How deep is your passion? How about your pocket? To do a 75 targa. its gotta be pretty strong and deep. Thats what it will come to. I just couldnt stop. If your worried about it being a money pit, you need to find a another car. Maybe an old mustang. ALL OLD PORSHES are money pits. But man, what a pit. Its a lot better pit to spend money on than the other pit that we men are so fond of.
