Scott, funny you should ask. Had exactly the same problem. With ignition on (fuel pump running), take a flashlight and look down into #1 carb/throat (driver's side rear) You will probably see fuel leaking through the pump jet (the part that delivers fuel from the accelerator pump when you open the throttle). What I found was wrong was that the Float closest to the rear (in my case driver's side, rear or #1) (rear float controls #1 carb/piston, the forward float controls #2 and #3) was allowing fuel to flow in and drip through the pump jet thus have gas pool on the throttle valve and leak. I readjusted the float (removing a washer) and all was well. You will need the float adjustment tool which I believe our host provides. Good luck and hope this helps. Steve
