Hi there. I believe that if you wish to upgrade the transmission, then all you need are the longer spacer bolts. Everything else should be the same. Check the cables to the motor, as they tend to get a bit frazzled. Also, check the plastic ball cup joints at the end of the rods. It may indeed be the transmission, but those are expensive, so make sure everything else is cool first.
