I have a euro 1980 911 SC and the fan belt started slipping. I took it apart and all of the shims are on the outside of the pulley, not four inside like the tech article shows. Which prevents me from tightining the belt any further.
The belt is a Dayco and a cross-reference shows that it is listed as fitting my car. I am starting to think that maybe the pulley isn't correct for my car. I have attached a picture of mine, does this look the right pulley?
