Well, it was finally time to bite the bullet. My antique Nokia was finally getting unreliable after 8-9 years or so as best I can recall. For a while my step kids changed phones about as often as I changed underwear. They either broke them or lost them or had to upgrade. Stepson just got the updated I4...of course he had one of the first Iphones but his old one "broke" just as the I4 came out. I bet he's had 10 diffferent phones in the last 4 years. Whatever...he pays for it.
I went down and tried to get a basic phone that was fairly durable. I didn't need no stinking camera or bluetooth earpiece or internet or games or whatever they come with now. I use it to talk on and to text once in a blue moon. Just want something that holds a charge and gets decent reception. Dayum they come with everything from swiss army knives to gps to microwave ovens as features.
Anyway...settled some Samsung Rugby 2 as recommended for a durable phone...a bit heavier than most but shock/waterresistant supposedly. Still has way too many features than I'll ever need.
What say you? Kudos to anyone carrying around one of the Motorola bricks. How long have you had your ciurrent mobile phone?
