I'm pretty sure every region puts all front engine models ,except 924's, in production02. As for the racing tires that shouldn't be allowed in a stock class.
Just remember autocross courses are tight and turbos take time to spool up so since the NA has shorter gearing you almost have an advantage. Last time I did autocross I ended up beating a guy who had a 944 turbo with a k26/8 turbo (which is a big turbo).
You're very experienced so just get some good tires and a decent suspension set up and I'm sure you'll do fine.
