I have a Bursch MFI on my 2.7 MFI 1973. It has been on there for 10 years. The system really mates well with MFI. There is one larger glass pack muffler after the merge and 2 smaller ones in each pipe before the merge. I am sure there is no packing left in the system so it is a bit loud, but I like it that way.
I have thought of replacing it with another, but I like the sound, and I like the system. I have taken it off to add bungs for my Daytona-Sensors Wego IV AFR instrument. this was about 3 months ago and everything was very sound and in good shape.....no cracks, in good shape.
Horsepower engineering always made the systems for Roger Bursch. Doug Robinson is the owner of Horsepower and a Porsche guy as well as a Hot Rodder and Bonneville guy. Doug bought out Roger when he retired. The systems are made in Pasadena CA and are a great value for the money.......I know of nothing better for an MFI car.
Our host Pelican sells them.....TRE sells them, as well as many dealers.
Only maintenance I do is some hi-temp black paint once in a while.
