I thought I'd flag that the closed cell foam tape you're using for the bonnet doesn't have or create a channel to clear water... ask me how I know  The previous owner of my car did something similar, but only the factory seal has a lip that prevents water from slipping behind the main part of the seal and making its way underneath into the metal channel. As a result of this I'm dealing with some rust that developed under the channel of my car. I notice you've got another 911 to compare - you'll see what I mean.

Yep, realising this may be a problem.....I hope it doesn't come back to haunt me too much! Its an on going project, so hopefully it will get sorted
