I would highly suggest to take a week or so and come down first to secure employment before you move......I landed in ocala first which was a mistake......
In orlando now, work in winter park (porsche tech), and am an hour from both coasts.
Miami is a bit too nutty for me, orlando is just right.....

Pm me if you need local info....in orlando 2 blocks can be a perfect little area, then the next pure ghetto so you need some good local info as to where to live.....
My other advice is to not buy a house unless you strike a good deal, be prepaired as most everything is mcmansion style and in an hoa, homowners insurance is outrageous, and expect all car insurance to double.....
That being said with no state tax it evens out and costs the same to live here as ohio did for us.....
