Not much different, I'd lean towards 83 with electronic fuel injection.
Clutch replacement is about $1700 parts only, brake job about $600 parts, shocks $400 parts, and the list goes on
so if you are paying top-dollar at $7K it had better be right. Typical 83 5 speed would bring $3 to $6K depending on condition.
Sellers are very good at hiding stuff from new buyers.
