The rainy season is upon us here in Northern Ca.

I did my search and really didn't find anything. My problem is as follows;

I have to park my car outside at work (daliy driver). When it rains heavly during the day, water gets into the engine compartment and pools by the distributor. When I start the car, the water will get sucked up or wicked into the distributor causing a whole mess of arcing making it impossible to drive. I have to remove the cap and clean out the inside in order to get going. Doing this in the rain sucks!

Am I alone in this? Anybody else have this experience?

I was hoping to fab up some sort of tray/shield to divert the water away from the distributor. I didn't want to reinvent the wheel if somebody has already tackled this.

I did see a post regarding 911 512 109 01 (air guard) which is a special order form our host. I believe it's Euro only rain tray for the Carrera. Anyone with any experience with this part.

Open to any ideas.
