Teutonic engineering makes one think that the early 911S's aren't an exotic automobile as they are realiable and thus usable.
However at this late date with the survivor rate being realitivily low one could very easily think that the early S cars are an exotic. With roughly 15,000 S cars built over a 7 year period that equates to about 2000 cars per year. Which puts them into Ferrari 308 territory, does one classify the 308 series aa an exotic?
One has to think the the 550 Spyders 356 Speedsters, Carrera's 356 Cabs are exotic as their production was low. Even the 914-6 could be in this classification.
The problem with Porsches being an exotic is that they run to dam well.
