Timing to Non-California Spec?
Hi All- Have a 77 911S California Spec, the timing is still set to 15deg after TDC at idle with Vacuum line on. Is there any advantage to going to 0 Deg like the 49 State cars without making any other changes aside from blocking off the egr? Also, the 49 state cars specs suggest pulling the distributor vacuum when setting timing, but when I remove the vacuum line my idle jumps to 2200RPM. Not sure whats happening there...
BTW, emissions are not an issue where I am.
