With that damage, if you slid into a post the rocker would be damaged as well. Pretty stupid reply from Progressive if you ask me. What do they think you did, collected all the scrapes from a back up light and sprinkled it on the ground.
You pay your premiums, now they need to pay for the damage. I'd be fuming too!
Take it to the local TV station.
CSI Miami could take those pieces of light and tell you what kind of truck or other vehicle and what kind of perfume he or she was wearing.
