I also hate the way the high-mounted light blocks the view of road at a distance - I always feel like there's a cop lurking back there.

I've been thinking of installing a similar LED light in the small vent area at the back edge of the roof on my '88 coupe. The wiring should be easy to access through the sunroof mechanism zipper in the headliner.
