Hmm, there is no "throttle position sensor" per se - the 2000 Boxster has an electronic throttle, so it knows where the gas pedal is pushed from your foot. You can use the Durametric tool, I believe, to grab the readings from the pedal. But that would not affect the idle.
I'm guessing that it would be your mass airflow sensor (MAF)...
