Slant nose, memories of my mispent youth.....

I recall the slantnose was the hottest 911 in the early 80's.

I was a student at the time, and like a salmon swimming up stream to spawn I did the annual spring break trek to Daytona beach. To those too young to remember, Daytona was THE spring break spot in the day.

Anyway, Hawian tropic had the bikini contest girls there.....

Somehow me and my friends ended up talking to the owner of Hawain tropic (it's all kinda blurry being spring break and all), I think his name is Ron Rice. Anyway he's got these hot babes crawling all over and he's telling us his story about getting the company started and mentions he has a Porsche. I'm thinking the guy drives a 928 or something.

Next day we see him on the beach in the 911 (you can drive the beach in Daytona). It's a slant nose turbo with custom Hawian tropic paint scheme on it.

I thought it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen.
