3.2 owners beware
Hi all, most of experienced 911 owners will know of this but for newbies like me it was a lucky find.While digging around my engine bay just to see what was back there l removed the air filter housing assy, when l was refitting it there are two hoses that are attached by a bracket to the rear half of the air filter housing, l guess after 20+ yrs the weight of the bracket cracks the housing therefore letting your pride and joy suck in unfiltered air. This could be seen by removing the top half of the air filter housing and taking out the filter and then with a torch the cracks can be seen running from the hose mounting point on the inside of the housing, lucky for me mine was just starting to crack and l only have 6k on a fresh engine, l have since found other threads on this but before l found mine l had no idea, sorry pics not available at this time l just thought l'd make other 3.2 owners aware of this what could be a costly find.BTW could someone tell me what the two hoses are and where can l get them as mine are starting to crack.Cheers Gerry
