Car looks great, the paint is in pristine condition. This car has lived its whole life in Florida and Texas, so no weather related issues. About the only change from stock is that I upgraded to the Becker CDR-220 CD Radio which has an analog audio input for my Ipod (original CDR-210 radio included in sale). The car runs great, and I have had it regularly serviced at Boardwalk Porsche in Plano TX. Clean Carfax report. I have all the user manuals ( Owner’s Manual, Maintenance Log, Audio System Manual, Dealer Directory, Radio Code Card), and even have the original sales brochure from the dealer.
As a 1996 model, so it has the VarioRam (285 HP) engine, for that extra bit of performance. Manual transmission is 6-Speed G50, considered very reliable.
Recent Service Items;
Replaced valve cover gaskets
Replaced front and rear brake pads (including all new sensors)
Replaced rear tires (Pilot Sport A/S)
New battery
Regular oil changes (Mobil 1)
According to Kelly Bluebook website, the private sale value for this car is $27535 in good condition, and $25,585 in fair condition. My asking price is lower than the value in “fair” condition, but I would say the car is somewhere between good and excellent condition.
I love this car, but need to sell it because I just do not drive it enough. If you are in the market for an air-cooled Porsche experience of the highest caliber, this is a great car for you. I have tons of high resolution pictures I can send you. I can be reached on (972) 325-1049 or via email

More Information and Answers to FAQs
a) The odometer went out at 47448 while owned by the second owner, and was replaced on October 22, 2002 (have receipt). The total mileage on the car is 47448 + 51680 (current odo reading) = 99128
b) Many questions about the clutch. I have a receipt from the previous owner dated Oct 19, 2001 that includes a clutch repair kit (993-116-911-00). This kit includes the Clutch Disc, Pressure Plate and Release Bearing, and was installed at the same time the engine and transmission were out of the car. The mileage on this repair is 42113 (before odo change) so I calculate the approximate mileage since clutch repair is (47448- 42113) + 51680 = 57010 miles on new clutch
c) Questions on Check Engine Light and SAI: I have had one Check Engine Light in my ownership, and this was diagnosed to be a faulty Oxygen sensor (repaired on Jan 21 2009) I have never had any problems with the SAI, and the car has passed emissions testing every year. Looking through the records, I have no indication of the previous owner having or addressing SAI issues.
d) I left the handbrake off while working on the car in my garage, and the car rolled across the driveway and hit my van. This scraped the left rear quarter panel and the bumper cover, but no structural damage whatsoever. This took place in Sept 2008, and the repair was completed on 9/28/2008. I had it repaired at the best body shop in Dallas ( Stuart's Paint and Body), and the color match to the existing paint is perfect. At that same time,I had them paint the front bumper to remove rock chips.
e) Window sticker: I do not have the window sticker
f) Car History: The is a three owner car, the first owner in Florida, and the second and third owner (me) in Texas.
g) Car Records: I have a complete set of records for my ownership, and what looks to be a complete set of records from the previous owner, who also lived in Texas. Most of my service has been at Boardwalk Porsche in Plano TX ( I used an independent shop occasionally ), and all of the service for the previous owner was from Boardwalk. The records that I have from the original owner are only the entries into the maintenance log for the car at Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach FL (which appear to follow the suggested maintenance schedule).
h) Title: I have Texas title to the car free and clear with no liens
