I actually didn't see that gaff. Sad to say, but I have only seen about half of SPR, and that was a network TV broadcast. I want to rent it though, as it seemed like a rather powerful film. I can overlook some technical inaccuracies if the movie has heart, but cardboard-on-bulldozer may be a bit tough to swallow. The Sherman tanks being passed off in Battle of the Bulge was too much for me, especially given the rather weak other aspects of the film (Telly Savalas's "they're bouncing off them like tennis balls" line aside).
