Weird question. I'm removing 8 little springs with an appropriate spring pliers, then I pull the two manifolds toward the front and they're off. A matter of one or two minutes (two minutes includes peeing).
And then there's nothing between me and the oil filter. No fumbling and no old oil on the manifold.
Why-the-fü** is everybody so keen on changing the filter with the manifold in place ?

Nice that you like the HPE Bubba, you are right, that item combines best look with great sound but didn't you mention this aftermarket stuff before ? I bought that HPE muffler in 2007.
Meanwhile I have changed it to a pair of BOS mufflers, they sound great too (without that much noise) , I like the Ducati 998-look of the BOS also and the BOS provide more power (another good product is the QD pair of silencers or the Zard single silencer, both from Italy as the HPE)
