I have a 72 T 2.4. I think I have a 55 amp alternator which should make it a motorola, I think. I need to purchase a voltage regulator. The one I have is a black plastic covered version. I think I need to buy a bosch regulatory but need feed back to know.
Any thoughts to make sure I purchase the right one.

You need the Bosch (mechanical) regulator to match the OEM alternator. This sits on the left side panel in the engine compartment.
