coatings does not service the stamford area . and there is no reason to drive all the way to wallingford . you can get the products you need at paul francis & co. in bridgeport . if your looking for a lower end cost of paints you can go with the limco line . if you want a mid cost paint there is RM . if you want top end glasurit is what you want . BASF is the mother co. of all 3 paint lines . glasurit is what porsches are painted with but all 3 paint lines are good . if your doing it in your garage then i would do a base clear not single stage . the car was done in single stage from porsche . because you are spraying in open air (garage ) not a booth .you will get some dust in the finish . because you can let the base flash you well be able to wet sand out any dust before you spray on the clear . you can't do that with a single stage finish . the other good side to using base clear is that there are only two wet coats for any thing like dust to stick to . were if you go with a single stage finish you will have at the least 4 wet coats for crap to stick to .
