Never thought of that. I gotta say,when it comes to suicide men have it hands down over women. None of this taking 10 Tylenols and calling 911 nonsense. Git 'er done!
Personally, I would use a narrow gauge cable (maybe 1/8") to make sure it cut thru clean, yet had enough strength to not snap.

In all seriousness, this guy either had a mental illness or was so smitten with this girl that he lost his head over her.
