It is the fader, but I don't know how to bypass it. My rear fuse in my factory radio was blown (didn't know it was there), so I couldn't figure out what the damn dial was either. Finally got the radio working 2 months ago and figured out what it finally was. When my radio wasn't working, I thought it was for my AC. Porsche puts stuff in the craziest places...
